David Price
David was born in Scotland, of Irish parents, in 1943.
He qualified as a pilot after attending The College of Air Training in the South of England.
At the tender age of 20 he set off for his first job - flying for the oil companies throughout the Libyan desert.
A flying career took him to work for Libyan Aviation based in Benghazi, Libya; East African Airways, based in Nairobi, Kenya; Aer Lingus based in Dublin, Ireland; Cameroon Airlines based in Yaounde, Cameroon, Zambia Airways, based in Lusaka, Zambia and Air Guinee based in Conakry, Guinea.
He ended his career as the Flight Operations Director for GPA, which at the time was the largest lessor of modern jet aircraft in the world.
In that capacity he spent time in Nigeria with Nigerian Airways based in Lagos.
