Time in Africa

An autobiography that describes, in a funny and educational way, 20 years spent flying throughout Africa.

Experience during the period when African Nations were finding their way after independence.

Benghazi, Libya. Aged 20. No experience but qualified on paper. I still own the watch. Bought  in 1963 & still worn 2023.

Fascinating country with ancient history. Lovely people.

Hope I did more good than harm.

I started off life as a First Officer on DC3 aircraft. Moved to flying Comet 4 aircraft internationally from Nairobi through Rome to London and also through Karachi to Bombay. Flew all over Europe on Viscount and B737 and ended up flying B707 all over the world.

The stories in the book are of my times flying in Libya, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon, Zambia, Guinee and Nigeria.
